CHARLESTON, W.Va. --Fall has brought falling gas prices to West Virginia.

AAA East Central says the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline dropped 4.8 cents over the past week to $3.82.

That's still higher than the national average of $3.78 and 38 cents higher than gas prices in the state a year ago this week.

Prices range from about $3.73 in Parkersburg to more than $3.95 in Martinsburg.
