CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An ingredient was omitted from a recipe for apple dumplings on the food page in the Life & Style section of the Sunday Gazette-Mail. There is 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour in the recipe for the dough.

Dr. Sharon Istfan's name was misspelled in a Nov. 2 Gazette article on PURPLE, an initiative to help parents and caregivers recognize normal infant crying and to prevent shaken baby syndrome.

A story in Friday's Gazette regarding the sentencing of Donnie Dwayne Bailes in Putnam County Circuit Court should not have said Bailes admitted to raping his daughter. Instead, Bailes entered a Kennedy plea to a charge of first-degree sexual abuse. In a Kennedy plea, a defendant does not admit guilt but concedes there is enough evidence for a conviction.
