Canada's Spinney Brothers play Opry House
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Spinney Brothers will be one of the rare bands to play the Milton Opry House that had to pass through the Customs Office to get there. The foursome hails from the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada. Though they hail from North of the border, they play music in a style born far south of it. A recent CD title says it all: "The Spinney Brothers: Genuine Bluegrass Acoustic Music." Brothers Allan and Rick Spinney are joined by Gary Dalrymple and Darryl Hebb in the standard bluegrass configuration of banjo, guitar, upright bass and mandolin.
The music starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 55 and older and $5 for children 12 and under. The Opry House is located right off the Milton exit of Interstate 64. Call 304-743-5749.
