CHARLESTON, W.Va. --  On Friday, Shovels and Rope come to Huntington from Charleston -- South Carolina, that is. The self-described "folk rock, sloppy tonk" duo of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst will then travel across the border where they'll showcase more of their infectious tunes and killer harmonies at the Nelsonville Music Festival in Ohio on Saturday. (Read more on the festival here.)

The free show begins at 10 p.m. at Huntington's Black Sheep Burrito and Blues, 1555 3rd Ave. R. Ring, featuring Kelley Deal of The Breeders, also performs. Call 304-523-1555 or visit
