Lords of the Highway at The Empty Glass Friday

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Cleveland rockabilly trio Lords of the Highway come to Charleston Friday for a 10 p.m. show at The Empty Glass, 410 Elizabeth St.

The band is guitarist/vocalist Dennis Bell, drummer/vocalist Joe Hissem and upright bassist/vocalist Jimbo Hissem; it celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The Lords have performed with acts including Reverend Horton Heat, Southern Culture on the Skids, Hank III, and Cleveland Scene Magazine voted the group Best Rockabilly Band of 2010.

They're joined by Charleston horror punk outfit The Big Bad, which is comprised of singer Zackula Von Nasty, guitarists Freddie Machette and Cemetery Flowers, bassist Colonel Cuttingham and drummer Necro Nate.
