CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This month's downtown Charleston ArtWalk features a host of art displays, street music and more from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at more than a dozen venues.

See the full list at www.charlestonartwalk.com, but among them are Sky Lounge (26 Capitol St.) with "Big City Feel in a Small Town," sculptures by local artist William Marple; Art Emporium (823 Quarrier St.) with "My Illustrated Life: Watercolor Reflections" by Sharon Harms, and the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation (900 Lee St. E.) with works by Deborah Herndon, Faye Johnson, Jennifer Bloomfield, Diana Pittis and Anna "Tookie" Nibert.

Romano and Associates (230 Capitol St.) partners with the Alzheimer's Association on "The Journey" by artist Michael Green and "Memories in the Making" by various artists living with Alzheimer's or other dementias. The Charleston Ballet (100 Capitol St.) shows off dancers at work in rehearsal for October's "La Bayadere" as well as dance artwork pottery and dance photography exhibits.
