CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Rob Carlson will bring music, laughs and a pedigreed sound when he appears in a Woody Hawley Series Concert that starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday with opener Nels Andrews at the Clay Center's Walker Theater.

The Connecticut-based performer has a broad range both vocally and on folk guitar -- check out his acclaimed "Peacable Kingdom" CD. He was inspired early on by Ian Tyson of Ian and Sylvia folk fame; hear the results in the form of a cover of Tyson's "Summer Wages, available in a free download at his website.
