Dead Leaves blow into Empty Glass

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Indie Americana act Dead Leaves comes to the Empty Glass Friday, fronted by Huntington native Travis Egnor, who used to run sound at the Sound Factory. Egnor moved to Nashville in 2004 and then eventually came back to Hurricane. The band has toured through 17 states in the past half-year and also includes Ripley native Jeremy "Wood" Roberts, part owner of Fast Freddie's Famous Fret Shop in Ripley.

Opening act is the alt-country folk-rock group Tim Browning and the Widowmakers from Logan. Cover is $7, and the music starts after 10 p.m. The Empty Glass is at 410 Elizabeth St. Call 304-345-3914 or visit www.emptyglass.com.
