Lewis Black, 'Mountain Stage' coming to Clay Center

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Clay Center has announced that comedian Lewis Black and a "Mountain Stage" show headlined by Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin are coming to the Clay Center in May.

Black, a regular contributor to Comedy Central's "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and stand-up comedian best known for his scathing social commentary and biting sarcasm, will appear May 16.

The "Mountain Stage" show will be May 19. Carpenter, a five-time Grammy winner, was a solid hit-maker through the 1990s. She's best known for hits like "Passionate Kisses," "I Feel Lucky" and "He Thinks He'll Keep Her."

Colvin won a Grammy in 1997 for her hit "Sunny Came Home."

Clay Center Presents Spring 2013 season ticket holders can buy tickets for Lewis Black and for "Mountain Stage" at the Clay Center now. Eligible Clay Center members can purchase tickets Friday, March 22. Tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, March 25 at 10 a.m.

Tickets for Lewis Black are $35, $45, $55 and $65.

Tickets for "Mountain Stage" are $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the show.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.theclaycenter.org, in person at the Clay Center box office or by phone at 304-561-3570.
