At ArtWalk, Romano & Associates is showcasing the artwork that goes into graphic novels, like Blake Wheeler's paintings for the comic "Season's End."

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The 2013 ArtWalk season kicks off from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 15 locations in downtown Charleston.

New to the event is Tony the Tailor, 107 Hale St., which will have a trunk show, bourbon tasting and art display by Kelly Bryant. Romano & Associates is showcasing the artwork that goes into graphic novels with paintings by Blake Wheeler, photographs by Balsa Goboyic and Leslie Bragg and illustrations by Bill Richardson, plus author appearances by Jason Pell and Danny Boyd.

Other featured artists include Randi Selbe at Gallery Eleven, Chet Lowther and Ian Bode at Uncork & Create, Jacob Bucy at Art Emporium and Bill and Carolyn Hilborn, Katie Cumberledge, Mary Blake, Deborah Herndon, Faye Johnson and Diana Pittis at the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation.

Other venues are the Charleston Ballet, Chet Lowther Studio, Delfine's Jewelry, House of Luxe, Modern by Design, The Purple Moon, Stray Dog Antiques, Taylor Books and Visions Day Spa.
