A midsummer night's ArtWalk

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This month's free ArtWalk will fill a host of downtown locales with art and music from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Among the shows, the Art Emporium, 823 Quarrier St., presents work by JP Owens; Romano & Associates, 230 Capitol St., features Leah Towler's artwork in chalk pastels and drawings; Good News Mountaineer Garage, 222 Hale St., showcases artist Scottie Stowers and Stray Dog Antiques, 219 Hale St., will exhibit a newly acquired collection of unique handmade aprons spanning 20 years.
