By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This weekend at the Capitol Center Theater, 123 Summers St., the Contemporary Youth Arts Company stages its 15 annual summer monologue-athon, "Boxes 15: Ye Olde Boxes," where 14 young actors undertake "an evening of iambic merryment and pathos." The works, written by CYAC maestro Dan Kehde, feature "a mock Shakespearian flavor." They include such titles as "The Artist's Mirror," "In Pursuit of Perfect Ignorance," "All Sex Is Bad," "The Schmuck" and "The Schmuck Replies."

The cast is Siercia O'Brien, Mia Beckner, Austin Lowe, Caitlin Moore, Celeste Vingle, Ellie Paybins, Michael Tighe, Nicci Matheny, Katie Shaver, Olivia King, Susanna Morris, Austin Susman and  Rowan Maher.

Performances are 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tickets, available at the door, are $6 for students and seniors and $10 adults. Call 304-342-6522 for reservations.
