Sheldon Vance stars in 2014's first 'RFC MINI SHOW'

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The first "RFC MINI SHOW" of 2014 is online now at the PopCult blog. It features Sheldon Vance, who calls his music "acoustic country punk." In it, you can hear traces of Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams as well as Joe Strummer.

Vance was recorded at Kanawha Players Theater a few weeks ago as part of an open mic/concert series produced by Project Biscotti, who themselves will appear on "Radio Free Charleston" soon. The show features two of Vance's songs: an up-tempo rocker called "Turn It Back Around" and the political country ballad, "This American Dream."

For the show's production notes, plus news on music, toys, comic books and other weird stuff, check out PopCult regularly.
