CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Piano soloist Valentina Lisitsa, who was scheduled to perform with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra Jan. 24 and 25, has canceled because of illness.
The concerts, however, will still take place as scheduled.
The first half of the concert will feature Symphony No. 1 in E minor, Op. 39, by Jean Sibelius, as programmed. For the second half, Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73, by Johannes Brahms, will replace Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15.
