'Frozen' sing-along opens in theaters Friday
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- On Friday, Disney will take the unusual step of re-releasing "Frozen" to theaters before it's even left them -- only this time it's a sing-along version. In a press release, Dave Hollis, Disney's executive vice president of theatrical distribution said, "'Frozen' fans have embraced the film's original songs and its soundtrack with such passion. It's a great opportunity for families to get together and have some fun with these songs."
"Frozen," which is already Broadway-bound, features songs by the married songwriting team of Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who were recently nominated for the Best Original Song Oscar (for "Let it Go"). The sing-along version will have on-screen lyrics and a bouncing snowflake to follow, so you can sing along with a cast that includes Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff.
"Frozen" has been in theaters since Nov. 27 and has made more than $773 million worldwide to date. "Frozen Sing-A-Long" comes to Regal Nitro Stadium 12, Park Place Stadium Cinemas and Teays Valley Cinemas. Call the theaters or visit their websites for showtimes.
