Huntington's First United Methodist Church, 1124 5th Ave., will stage Jonathan Joy's original production, "A Bitsy and Boots Holiday Special," Thursday through Saturday. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. with the show at 8.
The cast includes Jane Morse, Loretta Hetzer, Jonathan Maynard, Jenn Naglee, T. Michael Murdock, Rebecca Payne, Leann Haines, Michael Naglee, Stephen Vance and Linda LeMaster. Dinner is Prime Rib au Jus or Glazed Cornish hen, with salad, baked potato, green peas and pearl onions, dilly rolls and assorted Valentine desserts.
Admission is $24 for adults and $8 for children under 12. Play-only admission is $5 if space permits. Proceeds benefit the church's mission program.

Americana singer/songwriter Grayson Capps will perform a benefit for Roots Town Radio at 9 p.m. Friday at the Good News Mountaineer Garage Gallery, 221 1/2 Hale St. On Sunday, he and his band, Willie Sugarcapps, perform on "Mountain Stage."

John Ellison concerts

The Bluegrass Winter Fest will take place this weekend at McCoy's Inn and Conference Center, 701 Main St. W., Ripley. Music begins at 7 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.

The 22nd Annual River City Blues Competition runs Friday and Saturday at the Hotel Lafayette in Marietta, Ohio. The event includes a Friday night performance by Huntington's Chris Sutton and C&S Railroad, the 2013 competition winners.
