"This Quilt Was Really Fun to Make," featuring works by the Kanawha Valley Quilters Guild and the Moon and Stars Quilters Guild, will be on the first floor and "2012 Design Awards: West Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects" will be on the fourth.

Both run June through August. Call 304-343-4646.

Clay Center free for military

Now through Labor Day, all active-duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel and their families will receive free gallery admission to the Clay Center thanks to the Blue Star Museums program, a partnership between Blue Star Families and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Additionally, they will be admitted to planetarium shows for $2 and giant-screen films for $3.

Participants must present a Geneva Convention common-access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card.

The discount is valid for up to five immediate family members. Restrictions may apply to special exhibits.
