CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Kanawha County Public Library is currently accepting entries for its book trailer contest for teens in grades 7-12. The entry deadline is Aug. 20.
To enter, create an original trailer for your favorite book, using live action, animation, puppetry or any other form of filmmaking. It must be suitable for a PG audience and no more than four minutes long. Individual and group entries are accepted.
Once you've created your video, post it to your YouTube account and email the link to travis.ll...@kanawhalibrary.org or submit it on DVD (non-returnable) to any KCPL branch. Video files must be smaller than 20GB and in a YouTube-supported file format. All entries must be accompanied by a release form, available at www.kanawhalibrary.org.
Entries will be posted on the Kanawha Library YouTube channel for public voting Aug. 27 to Sept. 10.
Each entry will receive an e-pouch, suitable for carrying devices such as Kindles, iPads and netbooks. The top three vote getters will receive cash prizes: $100 for first, $50 for second and $25 for third. Winners will be announced Sept. 12.
