Dawn Miller (left), The Charleston Gazette's editorial page editor, and Terri McDougal, director of children's service for Kanawha County Public Library and a Read Aloud West Virginia board member, sort through books donated as part of the Gazette's Happy Valentine's Children's Book Drive.
People have until Feb. 14 to donate clean, gently used (or new) books to the drive. Books can be dropped off at the Charleston Newspapers lobby, 1001 Virginia St. E.; at any Kanawha County Public Library branch; at the Putnam County Library's main branch in Teays Valley; or at any Children's Home Society location throughout the state.
