Don't become too attached to your squad in "XCOM: Enemy Unknown." They probably won't be around for long.

In addition to the lengthy campaign, "Enemy Unknown" features a multiplayer death match mode that lets you assemble a squad of both aliens and human soldiers and battle across a handful of maps. It's a nice distraction, but the single-player campaign is a far superior experience.

Strategy games are often viewed as a niche genre, but "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" brings them to the mainstream in a way no other title has with its unique combat system. "Enemy Unknown" is easily accessible to strategy newcomers, yet still fiercely hardcore for experienced players. So whether it's your first foray into the world of strategy games or just the latest tactical challenge to tackle, "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" is a game that shouldn't be missed.
