Youth art show
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Watercolor Dreams Gallery will host a "Kidz Art Exhibition" April 1. Each of the 10 students will have four of their own favorite paintings they have created in class framed and hung in the main gallery.

Square Meal event
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The fourth Square Meal event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. March 27 at Timothy's, inside the Quarrier Diner, 1022 Quarrier St.
Square Meal is a mini grant opportunity for artists in music, dance, visual arts, theater, literature and film, arts organizations and other creative projects, presented by the Arts Council of Kanawha Valley. A group of people come together to share a basic meal at an affordable price. All or part of the income from that meal is given as a grant to support a creative project. The grants are awarded at the discretion of the audience.
Reservations for the meal are $16 ($10 to the grant, $5 to the food, $1 to ACKV) until March 25. Late reservations and at the door pricing will be $21 ($10 grant, $5 food, $6 ACKV). The presenters for this event will be Po' Folks Cabaret, Kanawha Players, Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School and Bad Reception.
Almost $1,700 has been awarded to three creative projects with an average award of $557. Those projects are Charleston Cinematheque, Liberty World Percussion Ensemble and a theatrical production of "Battered but not Broken."
