Light Opera auditions
The Charleston Light Opera Guild will hold auditions for "Legally Blonde," the Tony-nominated musical based on the hit Reese Witherspoon movie, this weekend at its theater, 411 Tennessee Ave. Performance dates are July 27-29 and Aug. 3-5.
Singing and reading auditions are 11 a.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday. Bring music for accompanist. Scripts will be provided. Dance auditions are 8 p.m. Sunday. Combinations will be taught.

Art trading-card party
Huntington's Renaissance Art Gallery in the old Huntington High School will host a free art trading-card party from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Make your own cards, which are the size of baseball cards, and trade them with other participants.

'Mountain Stage' at WVU
Justin Townes Earle headlines a 7 p.m. "Mountain Stage" show Sunday at WVU's Creative Arts Center in Morgantown. Also performing are Alejandro Escovedo & The Sensitive Boys, Elizabeth Cook, The Quebe Sisters Band and Todd Burge.

The 26th annual Bill Morris Memorial Bluegrass Band Competition will be held at 7 p.m. June 9 at the Mountaineer Opry House in Milton.
Cash prizes of $500, $400 and $300 will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place finishers, respectively, and they also will receive a $50 Route 60 Music gift certificate.
There is a $100 Audience Appreciation prize, as well. Registration fee is $25.
