'Legally Blonde' cast
Micah Atkinson will star as Elle Woods in the Charleston Light Opera Guild's production of "Legally Blonde." The musical, based on the Reese Witherspoon film, runs July 27-28 and Aug. 3-4 at the Civic Center Little Theater.

At 7 p.m. July 20, the Murder and Merriment theater group will present "The Murderer Who Came to Dinner" aboard two private rail cars in Huntington owned by the Collis P. Derick Kirk Scholarship winners
The Derick Kirk Foundation selected Claire Wayne of Clay County High School and Adam Gillespie of St. Albans High School as the winners of its 2012 Derick Kirk Foundation Music Scholarships. They each received a $1,000 scholarship.
The foundation's mission is to support and fund music education and development in grades K-12. It is named after local musician Derick Kirk, who died of cancer in 2007 at age 28.
'Charlotte's Web' cast
On Aug. 24-26 and Aug. 31-Sept. 2, the Alban Arts Center in St. Albans will stage the children's classic "Charlotte's Web." Starring in the show are Megan Ebbskotte as Charlotte, Caden Chapman as Wilbur and Stevie Jenkins is Templeton.
