CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Allied Artists of West Virginia is sponsoring a spring watercolor workshop April 26-28 at Cakes by Appointment, in Charleston.
Laurie Goldstein-Warren, of Buckhannon, is the instructor. She has exhibited her work in many national and international exhibitions, including the Watercolour Biennial in Shanghai, China, and the National Watercolor Society's International Open Exhibition in 2012.
She belongs to eight watercolor societies, including West Virginia. Her paintings may be viewed at www.warrenwatercolors.com.

Digital photo workshop
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College will offer a digital photography workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 22.
The hands-on workshop will take place at the college's Workforce and Economic Development site in the Schoenbaum Family Enrichment Center, Suite 142, 1701 Fifth Ave. The fee is $59.
