New crafts at Art Store
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Art Store is featuring new fine crafts by Abra Couture, Nikki Butler, Creative with Clay, Hilborn Pottery and C&H Glassworks.
Meanwhile, its exhibit "Duet," featuring works on handmade paper and sculpture by Katherine and Jonathan Cox, will be on display through June 7. The show highlights the technical skills of the couple with Katherine Cox's delicate application of graphite in drawing and Jonathan Cox's manipulation of wood into flowing forms.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The 48th annual Rhododendron Outdoor Arts & Crafts Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 9 at the Capitol Complex.
Exhibitors may sell their work, which will be judged for cash prizes.
The festival will feature paintings, photographs, woodwork, stained glass, jewelry, baskets and more. Live music and food will be offered.
'Sense of Place' show
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- "A Sense of Place," a West Virginia sesquicentennial artist invitational, opens June 1 at the Huntington Museum of Art. The exhibit runs through Sept. 22.
