Qiet is one of the area's more eclectic ensembles, combing theatrics with rock and featuring lead singer Christopher Harris, who possesses an impressive set of room-filling pipes.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- It should be an interesting night of cross-genre, high-intensity and occasionally theatrical music Friday when Chris Monk, Qiet and Dennis Hopper's Army come to the Alban Arts Center in St. Albans in a show that runs 7 to 11 p.m.

Monk is an area singer-songwriter who'll be followed to the stage by two of the region's eclectic ensembles. The excellently named Dennis Hopper's Army has been variously described as "folk/punk stomp" and possessing an "aggressive style with a mix of punk and bluegrass." Qiet is one of the area's more eclectic ensembles, combing theatrics with rock and featuring lead singer Christopher Harris, who possesses an impressive set of room-filling pipes.

Tickets are $5 at the door at 65 Olde Main St., St. Albans. Call 304-721-8896.
