HallowEast schedule announced

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- East End Main Street has announced the schedule of events for HallowEast IV, the East End's Halloween celebration.

• On Oct. 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Contemporary Galleries at 1210 Smith St. will hold an art show featuring the works of 30 local artists. All art sales will be split evenly between the artists and East End Main Street.

• On Oct. 25, starting at 6 p.m., comedy troupe No Pants Players will present a murder mystery at the Woman's Club of Charleston at 1600 Virginia St. E. Food and alcoholic beverages will be available. The event is sponsored by Moxxee Coffee.

• On Oct. 26, from 7 p.m. to midnight, the Haunted Barn will be open at the corner of Lewis and Beauregard streets. Contemporary Galleries will also hold a reception from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

• On Oct. 27, the East End Zombie Walk, presented by WV United Federal Credit Union, will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Moxxee Coffee parking lot. The haunted barn will again be open from 7 p.m. to midnight. There will also be an East End, costumed pub crawl from 6 to 11 p.m. featuring Bluegrass Kitchen, Tricky Fish, Little India Lounge, the Empty Glass and the Red Carpet Lounge. Tickets are $15.

Tickets for the pub crawl go on sale Oct. 5 at noon at Magic Makers Costumes, Blue Grass Kitchen, Tricky Fish and the Red Carpet. All tickets are $15 in advance and ticket holders will receive a collectible aluminum cup. All other tickets can be purchased through East End Main Street by calling 304-767-9800. There is a $1 credit card processing fee.
