FUTURE EVENTS
Putnam County Parks and Recreation Commission will have its annual Reindog Parade from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at the Valley Park Community Center. Registration will be taken from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Registration fee is $10, which will go toward the new Putnam County Animal Shelter. Prizes will be awarded. For information or to register early, call 304-562-0518, ext. 10.
Nitro Convention and Visitors Bureau will sponsor a Lunch with Santa Christmas Carnival and Craft Fair from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 8, followed by an Evening Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. The cost is $4 in advance and $5 at the door per person and lunch is included. Activities for the kids include face painting, crafts, games and pictures and lunch with Santa. Activities for the adults include a craft fair. All proceeds go to support local children from area schools. Crafters are wanted and a limited number of spaces are available. A toy drive will be held.
