Benefit concert

Johnny Rawls concert

Soul/blues singer Johnny Rawls will perform a benefit concert for the Logan County Child Advocacy Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Logan Country Club in Chapmanville. East End Christmas Bazaar

The East End Bazaar will hold a special Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at its location on the corner of Washington Street and Ruffner Avenue. There will be caroling by local choirs, a children's craft station and wreath-making workshops.

Vendors include Charly Hamilton, Jacob Fertig and Kelly Bryant (fine art); Karen Kelly (hand-knitted hats and scarves); Studio Lilybean, Barbara Schwartz and The Eco-Beader (handmade jewelry); Tereasa Fertig (re-purposed furniture, antiques and seasonal items); Doug Minnerly (pottery); Kountry Crow Candles & Soaps; The Plant and Gnome (handmade wreaths, wood carvings and birdhouses); Pampered Paws Bakery (artisan dog treats); Total Meltdown (tie-dyed T-shirts) and Frutcake, Mission Savvy Organic-to-Go and McKinnon Presbyterian Church (food).

Craik-Patton holiday open house

The Craik-Patton House, 2809 Kanawha Blvd. E., will present "A Civil War Christmas" during its annual holiday open house Saturday. Jim Getty, a historian from Gettysburg, will portray Abraham Lincoln and provide insight on Christmas in the White House at 11 a.m. He will discuss President Lincoln's role in West Virginia's statehood at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
