Open Stage 4 Kids

Unity of Kanawha Valley will have its next Open Stage 4 Kids event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at 804 Myrtle Road. Performers ages 5-15 are invited to bring whatever talent they have. They can play an instrument, sing, dance, tell a joke, show a piece of art or magic or just talk into a microphone. This month's event will be hosted by Sky Kershner. Mail rally

Concerned citizens of West Virginia will rally from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kanawha City Post Office, 4600 MacCorkle Ave., to protect Saturday mail delivery and demand that Congress deliver a better plan to strengthen the Postal Service for the future. 5K run/walk

The Putnam County Rotary Club will sponsor The Chet Marshall Memorial 5K Run/Walk at 10 a.m. March 30 at Valley Park (Wave Pool) in Hurricane. Proceeds will benefit Putnam County student scholarships. The cost is $20 per person, $15 for middle school or high school track students. Register online at tristateracer.com by Friday to be guaranteed a T-shirt.  Online registration continues until March 29 and walk-up registration begins at 9 a.m. on the event date. Kindergarten enrollment

First Presbyterian Church is accepting applications for student enrollment for August kindergarten classes at the church, 16 Leon Sullivan Way.
