CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The free Magic Island Family Movie Night series kicks off Wednesday with "Dolphin Tale." The family drama stars Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Harry Connick Jr. and Kris Kristofferson. It's taken from the true story of Winter the dolphin, who lost her tail when she was caught in a crab trap.

The movie review website Rotten Tomatoes rates it as 83 percent fresh, calling it "earnest, sweet, and well-told, a rare family film that both kids and parents can enjoy." The film starts at dark with activities including inflatables and games beginning at 6 p.m.

The series runs through June, but the rest of the films haven't been announced. Call 304-342-3136.
