Kids' summer film series set for area theaters

The quirky Western/comedy "Rango," featuring an all-star voice cast led by Johnny Depp, opens the kids' summer movie series at Park Place Stadium Cinemas. It shows at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Park Place Stadium Cinemas in downtown Charleston, Marquee Cinemas at Southridge, Great Escape Nitro and Teays Valley Cinemas in Scott Depot are offering a schedule of children's movies throughout the summer.

Films are free at Park Place, Marquee and Nitro. They are $1 at Teyas Valley.

All films are rated G and PG and are in 2D.

Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.
