WELCH, W.Va. -- Members of a documentary project relying on the participation of McDowell County residents will hold a workshop Saturday.

Production members with "Hollow: an interactive documentary" will hold a workshop Saturday at Mount View High School in Welch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a news release.

The workshop will include storytelling exercises, video training and a screening of early cuts of the documentary.

"The workshops offer a chance for the community to gather and create a multidimensional story about themselves," "Hollow" workshop director Michelle Miller said in the release. "We hope that the skills residents gain and relationships they build during these workshops last long beyond this summer and add to the thriving local culture of McDowell County."

There will be a final workshop on Aug. 18 at Mount View High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
