Kanawha Players will hold auditions for "Evil Dead The Musical" from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kanawha Players Theater, 309 Beauregard St. The show is a campy rock musical based on the cult classic horror film series.

Parts are available for five men and four women, as well as five or more adults for the ensemble. For information on the roles, including vocal range, visit www.kanawhaplayers.org.

Auditioners should come prepared with a rock song to sing a cappella or with an instrumental backing CD. Some simple dance moves will be taught.

Director Ginger Basham-Workman says, "This is a fun, campy show. While we are striving for vocal quality, you do not have to be a top-notch singer to try out."

Performance dates are Oct. 5-6 and 12-13, and actors also will be asked to do promotional events. For more information, email kanawhaplay...@yahoo.com.
