CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- If you missed them the first time around, "The Avengers" and "Brave" return to a few local theaters on Friday.

"The Avengers," which received rave reviews and grossed more than $1 billion after just two weeks, follows the Marvel superheroes as they unite to save Earth from the trickster demigod Loki and his army. "Brave," Pixar's tale of a rebellious Scottish princess, received less enthusiastic but still largely positive reviews.

Great Escape Nitro has "The Avengers" at 6:30 and 9:40 p.m. and "Brave" at 1:30 and 4 p.m.; Marquee has them at 6:20 and 9:35 p.m. and 1:15 and 3:45 p.m., respectively. Tickets are $7-$9 at Nitro and $6.50-$8.75 at Marquee, depending on age and showtime. Call 304-769-0405 or visit www.greatescapetheatres.com or 304-746-9900 or www.marqueecinemas.com.
