FRIDAY

7 p.m.: "Monsieur Lazhar": Oscar-nominated Canadian comedy/drama about an Algerian immigrant hired to replace a popular grade school teacher who died suddenly. In French with subtitles. Rated PG-13 (mature thematic material, a disturbing image and brief language).

9 p.m.: "The Queen of Versailles": Documentary about a billionaire family's drastic lifestyle change in the wake of the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis. Rated PG (thematic elements and language).

SATURDAY

5 p.m.: "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry": Subtitled documentary about the Chinese artist/activist. Rated R (some language).
