‘Mountain Stage’ slate includes Fountains of Wayne

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Fountains of Wayne is among the bands slated to perform in early 2012 on "Mountain Stage."

According to the radio show's website, the new season begins Jan. 15 in Morgantown with guitar legend Johnny Winter and blues singer Ruthie Foster. On Feb. 5, "Mountain Stage" returns to Charleston with singer-songwriter Darrell Scott and Irish-American folk band Solas.

On Feb. 12, alternative rock/power pop band Fountains of Wayne headline. Other acts will be announced later.

Finally, on March 4, "Mountain Stage" will host Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes, Cowboy Junkies and singer-songwriters Anais Mitchell and Paul Kelly.

Tickets for the Jan. 15 show are on sale. Tickets for the other shows go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. They are $15 in advance and $25 at the door.
