Mountain Stage to venture north -- far north

CHARLESTON, W.Va. --"Mountain Stage" is headed to Alaska. The radio program heard around the world on the Voice of America and more than 120 radio stations will record two shows, Aug. 17 and 18, at the Charles Davis Concert Hall in Fairbanks.

The shows will be held in conjunction with the University of Alaska Fairbanks' Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning.

Guests for the shows will be announced as they are confirmed, but "Mountain Stage" plans to have a separate slate of artists for each night.

Tickets go on sale Monday, March 19 at 8 a.m. Tickets are $30 and will be available by phone at 866-404-7021. For more information, visit them online at www.mountainstage.org.
