CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- One reviewer puts California folksinger John Craigie in some vaulted company, describing him as "a modern-day troubadour in the style of Woody Guthrie and Ramblin' Jack Elliott." Craigie brings his insightful lyrics and witty storytelling to town in a FOOTMAD concert Saturday at the Unity Church, 804 Myrtle Road in South Hills. The evening begins with an opening act at 8 p.m. by Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter and actor Leigh Jones. Drawing inspiration from such artists as Neko Case, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, she performs on stage with the theatricality of a trained actor. Tickets are $15 at the door, starting 7:30 p.m. Call 304-415-3668 or visit www.footmad.org.
