NEW YORK -- Legendary rock band Rush made its highly anticipated newst album, "Clockwork Angels," available for pre-order Tuesday at the iTunes Store (http://bit.ly/Iq0hEp).
All pre-orders include an instant download of the new single "Headlong Flight" with the remainder of the album delivered on the June 12th release date.
"Clockwork Angels" was mastered specifically with the iTunes format in mind, ensuring increased audio fidelity and more closely replicating what the band, singer/bassist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart, intended.
The album is the Canadian trio's first new collection of original material in more than five years and its first studio release via Anthem/Roadrunner records.
Additionally, the digital single for "Headlong Flight" is now available for purchase at all digital music retailers. Rush unveiled "Headlong Flight" last week exclusively on RollingStone.com, before being sent to rock radio stations nationwide. Within 24 hours, the song went to No. 1 on the Classic Rock format.
Rush will support the release of "Clockwork Angels" with a North American tour, which kicks off at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H., on Sept. 7. The 33-stop run includes a Sept. 11 concert at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and a Sept. 20 stop at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus. It concludes in Houston, Texas, on Dec. 2.
