CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Charleston Chamber Music Society presents a concert by the Enso String Quartet at 7 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church United Methodist on the corner of Quarrier and Morris streets.

The group is committed to string quartet classics as well as being strong advocates for new music. MusicWeb International dubbed its Grammy-nominated 2009 CD of music by Alberto Ginastera as "playing of jaw-dropping prowess revealing masterpieces of the 20th century quartet."

In its third visit to Charleston, the group will play from both the traditional and new music repertoire with pieces by Boccherini, Schubert and Britten. The quartet will also play a newly commissioned piece, "Following Franz" by Kurt Stallman.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $5 for students and free for youth under 18 with a paying adult. Call 304-344-5389 or visit www.charlestonchambermusic.org.
