CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Zany U.K. trio The New Rope String Band returns to FestivALL for the second year, bringing its blend of Monty Python-esque gags, music and poetry. Prior to last year's appearance, the group's first in the U.S., FestivALL director Larry Groce said, "They were one of the funniest acts I've ever seen, and you don't even need [to understand the] language to get the most of it."

The trio performs a 90-minute show at 8 p.m. Friday and an hour-long family matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clay Center's Walker Theater. Adult tickets are $20, and children's tickets (Saturday only) are $10. Call 304-561-3570 or visit www.theclaycenter.org.
