INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- A group of orchestra conductors will wrap up a series of meetings with a public concert at West Virginia State University.

Ten conductors from as far away as Korea and India attended the weeklong workshops that focused on the methods of Russian conductor Ilya Musin. He developed a system of hand communication with the orchestra with minimal voice instruction.

Two of the conference participants are students at State.

A concert is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Saturday in the university's Davis Fine Arts Building.

West Virginia State Director of Bands Scott Woodard coordinated the event.
