Kathy Mattea to appear on ‘Mountain Stage’ Feb. 3

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kathy Mattea will perform next year as part of the 30th season of West Virginia Public Radio's "Mountain Stage" live-performance shows.

Mattea's Feb. 3 performance at the West Virginia Culture Center in Charleston will be the Cross Lanes native's 16th appearance on the show since 1986.

The "Mountain Stage" live season kicks off Jan. 20 at West Virginia University's Creative Arts Center in Morgantown. Performing will be Rhett Miller of the Old 97's, along with string band Black Prairie.

A Jan. 27 show at the Culture Center will feature Arizona band Calexico.

Tickets went on sale Friday.
