He was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2006, 2007 and 2008 GMA Dove Awards and earned a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2012 for "And if Our God is for Us." His 2013 album, "Burning Lights," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming only the fourth contemporary Christian music recording to do so.
