BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION: 4 p.m., Davis Fine Arts Building at West Virginia State University. The program is sponsored by the Brothers of Xi Alpha and Theta Psi chapters of Omega Psi Phi and will include Capital High School show choir; Horace Mann Middle School show choir; Partners of African-American Churches Communities Closing the Gap After School; and Poetry by Dr. Jenelle Nicole Robinson. An African-American Art Exhibit by Dr. R. Charles Byers also will be featured.

KANAWHA TRAIL CLUB HIKE: 1:30 p.m., Plymouth Rock. Meet at 1:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. Regroup at Amherst/Plymouth in Bancroft. The hike is approximately 3 miles on a moderate trail with one long hill.

ALBAN ARTS CENTER AUDITIONS: 2 to 5 p.m., The Alban Arts Center, 65 Olde Main St., St. Albans. Auditions are held for Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy "A Delicate Balance." Roles are available for four women (mid-30s to mid-60s) and two men (mid-40s to mid-60s). No prepared monologue is required; script selections will be available for cold readings. STAGE COMPANY AUDITIONS: 7 p.m., at the Capitol Center Theater, 123 Summers St. Charleston Stage Company will hold auditions for the ensemble monologue show "Love, Loss and What I Wore."
