CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Tickets for Bob Thompson's annual "Joy to the World" show are on sale now. This year, fans of the annual holiday extravaganza will have three opportunities to catch the performance -- if they're willing to do a little driving.
The show has expanded from just one night to three. The first show will be held at 8 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Culture Center in Charleston. The second show follows Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m., in the Myles Center for the Arts/Harper-McNeeley Auditorium at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins and the third show will take place 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the WVU Creative Arts Center in Morgantown.
All three shows feature guest vocalist Heather Masse. The singer, a member of the Wailin' Jennys, has sung with a wide variety of pop and jazz performers, but is probably best known for her frequent appearances on Public Radio's "A Prairie Home Companion."
Tickets for all three shows are on sale now. Tickets to the Dec. 12 show in Charleston are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and can be purchased through 800-594-8499, at Taylor Books at 226 Capitol St. in Charleston or online www.mountainstage.org.
