CYAC opens war drama Thursday

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Contemporary Youth Arts Company presents the anti-war drama "Good Night, Grovers Corner" at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and Aug. 9-11 at the Capitol Center Theater, 123 Summers St. Written by Dan Kehde, the play brings to life the spirits of seven young people in a hillside cemetery who recall a friend who died in the war in Afghanistan. In searching for the meaning of his death, they discover only the hypocrisies that led to it.

The play stars Eli Chambers, Heather Newhouse, Caitlin Moore, Nik Tidquist, Mandy Harper, Kim Waybright and Daniel Calwell. It includes language and adult situations. Tickets at the door are $10 adults, $6 students and seniors. Call 304-342-6522.
