Armed Forces Day Parade

South Charleston's annual Armed Forces Day parade begins at noon Saturday on D Street with a military fly-over. There also will be school bands, clowns and cartoon characters. Call 304-746-5552.

Film casting call

Director Adam Edwards will hold auditions for "Rot" from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Kanawha Players Theater, 309 Beauregard St. Roles are available for men and women ages 18 and up. Headshots and resumes are requested but not required. A script will be provided.

The film, a zombie mutant gorefest, will begin shooting around June 23. There is no pay. For more information, email WVhor...@gmail.com.

Chamber music

The female a cappella group Anonymous 4 performs in a Chamber Music Society concert at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier St. The quartet will perform ancient, traditional and modern works, as well as a new work created specifically for it by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang.
