The festivities include a number of returning FestivALL favorites as well as new events and activities included in East End Main Street's fourth annual HallowEast.

The cast includes Debbie Spradling in the title role and Tim Harper as Horace Vandergelder, the man she hopes to marry. Among the other couples matched are Rachel Cox as Irene Malloy and Cameron Vance as Cornelius Hackl, Lindsey Duvall as Minnie Fay and Cameron Burford as Barnaby Tucker and Carly Thaw as Ermengarde Vandergelder and Austin Thomas as Ambrose Kemper.

MUSICAL EASELS: Local artists paint or draw the scenery while rotating easels in sync with music by street musicians during ArtWalk from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdsay and on the Sunrise Carriage Trail from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

ARTMARES: This horror-themed art show featuring works by 25-30 local artists is open 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Contemporary Galleries, 1210 Smith St. Friday's event is a closing reception with wine, hors d'oeuvres and live music.
MURDER MYSTERY PARTY: This dinner theater with the No Pants Players begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Charleston Women's Club, 1600 Virginia St. E. Audience members will try to solve the murder while enjoying food from Bluegrass Kitchen. Top detectives have a chance to win prizes.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 13 and under. However, the event will most likely sell out. Moxee Coffee will stop selling tickets Thursday morning; there might be a limited number available at the door. Call 304-767-9800.
ZOMBIE WALK: On Saturday, dress up as the undead and head to Moxee Coffee on the corner of Lee and Morris streets for a stroll through the East End in your best zombie get-up. The walk steps off at 5:30 p.m., with the line gathering at 4:45 p.m. Some makeup artists will be on hand to provide touch-ups.
If you want to watch, the route goes down Lee Street to Bradford Street, then to Quarrier Street all the way down to Elizabeth Street, ending at the corner of Elizabeth and Washington Street. If you're a "Walking Dead" fan, have some fun searching for Carl, who, as usual, isn't where he's supposed to be. (For more on that, see page 2D.)
COSTUME CRAWL: This new HallowEast event runs 6 to 11 p.m. in the Washington/Elizabeth Street area. It will be shut down for a pub-crawl through Bluegrass Kitchen, Little India Lounge, Tricky Fish, the Red Carpet and the Empty Glass, where participants will get food and drink specials.
There's also live music outdoors by Pepper Fandango (7-8 p.m.) and Fletcher's Grove (8:30 to 10 p.m.) in addition to live broadcasting by Electric 102.7 DJs and the Halloween Hootenanny at the Empty Glass, featuring horror punk acts The Renfields and The Big Bad. A costume contest nets the two best costumes $500 cash.
Tickets in advance and for zombies are $15. At they door, they're $20, though you'll get $5 off if you present a receipt from co-sponsor Magic Makers.

ARTWALK: The official monthly ArtWalk was last week, but it's back for an encore from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. In addition to the art to be found in the 18 participating venues, there will also be live music in the streets from Mark Scarpelli and Joseph Cevallos, Josh Buskirk, the Good News Garage PickUp Band and the Bark-o-Loungers.
